2007 was a good year for my business in many ways. I'd picked up a few new clients and had gone from being busy to being really busy. At the time, I was self-employed and with the exception of occasional assistance from a contractor here and there, I was entirely on my own. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with my business; I was a successful self-employed IT Consultant. However, I wanted the business to grow – I just didn't know how to grow or which direction to take. Struggling to make my mind up as to where I wanted to take my business, I decided I needed to seek out some professional advice under the headline of, “Help me grow my business!”

Via a Business Development scheme run by Lancaster University I was introduced to Tony March and his consultancy services. Within a few minutes of meeting Tony for the first time, I knew this was someone who could help me and my business. Over a period of about 6 weeks we met many times. During these meetings Tony listening carefully to my explanations of where my business had come from, my areas of expertise, strengths, weaknesses, etc. As he learnt more about me – so began the process of pointing me in the right direction.

Tony's advice and guidance made me think differently. For example, before meeting Tony, I had a number of pre-conceived ideas about how to go about winning new business. Tony turned my ideas on their head. Although a little uncomfortable at first (nobody likes being told they are wrong) it wasn't long before Tony's ideas and plans really made sense to me. Furthermore, putting Tony's recommendations into practice worked straight away, continued working and still bears fruit to this day.
Wherever you go in business you will come across consultants and consultancy services that don't deliver and/or don't offer value for money. My time with Tony March definitely does not fall into any such category – he was worth every penny. Not only did Tony give me the confidence to catapult my business forward, but his guidance helped me construct a winning sales pitch which time and time again has worked. This has directly impacted on sales – there are jobs we've won that I don't think we would have won without Tony's guidance.

I have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Tony March to any business.
